What are Chiral molecules?

Biological systems are predominantly composed of single chirality molecules. Yet synthetic chemical interventions are rarely sold and consumed in enantiopure forms.

In the pharmaceutical industry, the chirality of molecules can have significant implications. In many cases, only one of the two mirror image forms (or enantiomers) of a molecule is responsible for the desired therapeutic effect of a drug.
